VVUÅ, a. s. is a company established in 1952, originally as a Coal Research Institute. It has evolved over time to include specialized testing facilities for fires, fuel explosions, dust, gas, and other characteristics. VVUÅ also has an accredited explosion protection test laboratory and facilities for equipment that prevents falls. It is a notified body for the conformity assessment of selected products, and its product certification division handles the certification of various equipment and machinery. The company has over 120 employees and collaborates with experts, state institutions, universities, and specialized workplaces.
