Modernpack Hoppe GmbH, founded in 1975 by master butcher Josef Hoppe, initially traded in packaging machines before expanding into other processing machines. The company, now managed by Hoppe's sons, Günther and Jürgen, both engineers, has innovated in meat preparation, notably with the development of tendoning machines, known in the industry as soft separators.
