Founded in 1977 in Bad Iburg by Heinz and Gertrud Algra, Alco-food-machines GmbH & Co. KG initially served as a distributor for a Dutch machine manufacturer. In 1995, the company began manufacturing its own food processing machines, expanding its portfolio over time. Despite its growth, Alco has maintained its commitment to producing top-quality machines. In July 2022, the company was acquired by JBT Corporation, a global leader in food and beverage technology solutions. This partnership allows Alco to offer a more dynamic, customer-focused approach in both regional and global food processing markets.
